Franz Mayer of Munich

Dedicated to the master artisans of Mayer and Company of Munich Germany. The period covered is the late 19th to early 20th century in Catholic Basilicas, Cathedrals and Churches through the Southeastern United States. Mayer and Company was at it’s peak of production at this time with over 300 employees at it’s factory in Munich, Germany. The company also had an office in New York City that was responsible for American contracts. Franz Mayer of Munich is still in business today and is renowned for it’s glass installations inspired by artist from all over the world. It is my pleasure to give you a small glimpse of the work that was created by these remarkable artisans.
